Dear Piatigorsky,

On my way to San Francisco for the premiere of my opera,
I shall be in Los Angeles from Oct 2nd to the 4th.

If it is possible I should very much like to see you to discuss the
cello concerto I’m writing for you. It is under way. I am about to
complete the first movement.

I shall be staying with Lukas Foss at the University of California
where I am giving a lecture of Oct 3rd.
